FC Barcelona Ready for Historic Match at Partially Completed Camp Nou this Saturday

Barcelona have announced they will play at the partially upgraded Camp Nou this Saturday. The club will host the Basque side in La Liga two and a half years after they moved out for construction to commence.

“We envisioned this comeback. The moment has arrived. Home again at Spotify Camp Nou.”

Attendance will be limited but 45,401 spectators are permitted inside as per the current authorization. When completed, the Camp Nou is due to hold close to 105,000 fans, up from the previous 99,000. The club said recent additions comprise a renovated tunnel for players plus modern locker rooms.

Stadium Testing

Barcelona held an open training session at the Camp Nou on 7 November. The club said approval is being pursued from European football’s governing body to host the next European match against Eintracht Frankfurt on 9 December at Camp Nou. Their recent games have been held at the Olympic Stadium.
