Six Arrested After €12 Million Robbery on Gold Processing Laboratory in the French Republic

Six armed perpetrators carrying military-grade weapons detonated charges to break into a gold treatment facility located in the city of Lyon, slightly injuring five staff members during described as the latest high-profile daytime heist to occur in France.

The daring raid took place on Thursday afternoon, with police forces rapidly detaining the suspected perpetrators and retrieving the loot valued at approximately 12 million euros (10.5 million pounds), according to officials.

Five workers of the gold refining company were slightly hurt as a result of the detonation, and three employees required hospital checks for examination, according to regional authorities. Twenty-eight workers were at the location when the perpetrators raided.

Those arrested, believed to be experienced criminals, were arrested soon afterwards in the neighboring community of the town of Vénissieux, according to investigative sources.

A woman involved who participated in the heist was likewise arrested, according to law enforcement.

High-caliber firearms, handguns and detonation devices were also confiscated.
