The children's author David Walliams dropped by book publisher.
Acclaimed young adult author and TV personality David Walliams is no longer with his UK book publisher, the company has said.
A spokesman for the company said: "Upon deliberation, and following the appointment of its recently appointed chief executive, HarperCollins UK has chosen to cease publishing any new titles by David Walliams."
It has been reported that the conclusion was taken subsequent to an inquiry regarding reports of inappropriate behaviour directed at young women.
The firm declined to specify the motivations for this action, adding: "It is not our policy to discuss confidential company decisions."
A Prolific Publishing History
Walliams is one of the UK's most prolific writers for young readers, boasting over over six tens of millions of copies worldwide in dozens of tongues.
His inaugural foray into kids' literature, *The Boy in the Dress*, came out under HarperCollins back in 2008.
A number of his books, for example *Gangsta Granny* and *Billionaire Boy*, have found new life as TV movies.
His bibliography includes over four dozen titles altogether, which features a festive story named *Santa & Son*, which was released through HarperCollins last autumn.
Television and Literature
His initial claim to fame came on the TV sketch series *Little Britain* and has also won National Television Awards for his duties as an arbiter on *Britain's Got Talent*.
He was made an OBE back in 2017 in recognition of his work for the charitable sector and arts community.
This move occurs subsequent to the naming of Kate Elton as HarperCollins UK's freshly installed boss in October.
