The First Xbox Game Pass Titles of 2026 Demonstrate Xbox Isn't Giving Up Yet.

Across the gaming landscape, commentators persist in tolling the funeral bells for Microsoft's gaming division. Xbox was recently outsold by a platform few have heard of. Dedicated Xbox communities began covering on PS5 topics for the first time. 2025 was a period of total upheaval for Xbox and Microsoft. Yet, based exclusively on the upcoming Game Pass lineup in 2026, it is apparent that the green gaming company remains determined to draw people in with quality releases on its flagship service.

The Current Inclusions

The duo of games that are immediately available today, Brews & Bastards and Little Nightmares Enhanced Edition, are not the headliners. Instead, the excitement lies in what's arriving to Game Pass over the next few weeks that's worth getting excited about.

Significant Forthcoming Releases

On Jan. 13, the subscription service will add the often-overlooked Star Wars Outlaws, a sprawling adventure that breaks up conventional open-world tropes with an intergalactic heist adventure. An additional significant inclusion is Resident Evil Village with its iconic tall vampire, hailed in past assessments as "an ideal blend of frights and fights."

Compelling Indie Titles

Yet, the less-hyped additions coming to Game Pass soon deserve recognition. Lost In Random: The Eternal Die, an unjustly ignored roguelite that is incredibly fun, becomes available next week — and it's worth experiencing even if you missed out on the first Lost in Random game.

The game set in a ruined Britain from last year could captivate you within just a quarter of an hour.

Atomfall, a survival title with stealth elements by the makers of Sniper Elite, is also a game to check out. Game Pass Ultimate subscribers also have Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine – Master Crafted Edition to get excited about.

A Robust Selection of Games

Ultimately, these aren't the most groundbreaking additions to Game Pass, and they are also not tentpole Microsoft studios games that validate the subscription in the first place. Yet, this selection are rock solid. There's a good mixture of older titles you may have skipped and fairly new titles that didn't get the attention they were due initially — transforming them into ideal prospects to get a second chance on Game Pass.

You might need to brace yourself to bid farewell to The Grinch Christmas Adventures, as it happens.
