The former Liverpool manager admits rejoining to lead Liverpool is conceivable.

Jurgen Klopp, who departed from Liverpool in 2024, remarked that rejoining the club is something that could happen. The 58-year-old, following a hugely successful near-decade reign featuring Champions League success and ending the club's long wait for three decades, currently occupies positions overseeing worldwide football for Red Bull and as an advisor for the DFL.

Supporters’ Hopes and His Frank Comments

Liverpool won the Premier League in the previous campaign, though countless followers holding him in high esteem would be thrilled by the idea of his potential comeback. Speaking candidly, he told the podcast host: “I declared I will never coach another team in England. Therefore should it be the Reds...yes. It's plausible.”

“I’m 58, so I could make the decision later on, I don’t know. Is a decision required immediately? Then I will not coach again. But thank God, I don’t have to do that. I'll wait and observe how things unfold.”

What Would Lure Him Back?

Questioned regarding which situations must arise to bring him back to management, Klopp admitted he isn't eager to such a return. “I'm not entirely sure, My present work fulfills me,” he said. “I don't crave being a coach; I avoid standing under bad weather through long matches; I don’t miss going to interviews multiple times weekly or constant media duties a week.

“I don’t miss the dressing room in that context, however, dining out with the players having a nice chat, that’s nice. Success was frequent thus frequently a very good mood around the place. I still have Van Dijk's laughter ringing in my ears to illustrate.”

Commending Arne Slot

He commended for his successor, crediting him for the adjustments which secured the championship last campaign. Liverpool have lost four in a row across various tournaments after a summer spending spree, yet he dismissed the idea that it might signal a slump.

“[Liverpool have] a top-class attacker such as Wirtz, doubters will be silenced with negative comments. A remarkable prospect. The French striker, excellent performer. This is a well-built thoughtfully assembled roster. No need for concern over the club, they will be fine.”

Emotional Tribute for Diogo Jota

Klopp also spoke emotionally on the loss of Jota, a player he signed in 2020, along with the consequences on Liverpool. Jota lost his life in a vehicle collision with his brother recently.

“How do you replace a person like him? It’s not about the player himself, it's his character. I struggle to conceive the team environment absent his presence. I find it difficult to discuss about it. A devastating blow for the entire squad also. Nobody at Liverpool would cite it for poor performances though it's a fact. You walk in a dressing room where he was omnipresent. Coping with it emotionally is not easy. Unbearable.”
